LIC New Money Back Plan 20 years Plan 820

          LIC New Money back Plan-20 years offers financial protection against death throughout the term as well as periodic payment at specified durations during the period. It provides financial cover for the family of the deceased policy-holder until Maturity and lump sum amount (40% of Basic Sum Assured along with Simple Reversionary Bonus and Final Additional Bonus) at the time of Maturity in case of survival. The Death benefit provided by this policy includes the Sum Assured on Death (higher one of 125% of Basic Sum Assured or 10 times of annualized premium)along with Simple Reversionary Bonuses and Final Additional Bonus. If the policy holder survives till the end of specified term 20% of Basic Sum Assured will be paid at each 5th, 10th and 15th years.

          The maximum age at entry must be 30 years while the minimum must be 15 years. The term is 20 years. The minimum Sum Assured is 1, 00,000Rupees and there is no maximum limit. The maximum Maturity age is 70 years. The policy holder will get a share in the profits of the company through Simple Reversionary Bonus if the policy is running properly. Final Bonus will be declared at the time of claiming the policy through death or maturity.In case of accidental death, an optional rider called Accidental Death Benefit rider can be opted for which provides twice the sum assured, available with payment of Rs.100 per 1 lakh sum assured every year.

Benefits 

Death Benefit: If the Life Assured dies within the policy term, the Nominee is provided with the Sum Assured as Death Benefit. The Sum Assured along with Simple Reversionary Bonuses and Final Additional Bonus is offered to the Nominee. The Sum Assured is 10 times the annualized premium or 125% of the Basic Sum Assured.

Survival Benefit: If the Life Insured survives till the end of the specified durations, 20% of the Basic Sum Assured is provided on the 5th, 10th & 15th Policy year.

Maturity Benefit: On Survival of the Policyholder till the end of Policy, the remaining 40% of the Basic Sum Assured along with vested Simple Reversionary Bonuses and Final Additional Bonus is provided to the Life Assured.

The Life Assured can select the Accidental Death and Disability Benefit Rider which is optional.

LIC’s Accidental Death and Disability Benefit Rider

  • By Payment of additional premium, this Rider can have opted which is available throughout the Policy term.
  • During Accidental Death, the Accident Benefit Sum Assured along with death benefit is provided to the Nominee.
  • In the case of permanent disability due to the accident, the Accident Benefit Sum Assured will be paid in monthly installments for 10 years. The Future Accident Benefit Sum Assured Premiums will be waived off.

Bonus Details

There is two bonus available for LIC New Money Back Plan 20 years. They are.
  1. Simple Reversionary Bonus.
  2. Final Additional Bonus.

Simple Reversionary Bonus: At the end of each financial year, the Simple Reversionary Bonus is declared per thousand of sum assured. The Bonus is accured during the premium paying term but paid at the time of death or end of the term also with a final additional bonus.

Final Additional Bonus: If the policy is run for a specified minimum period, the additional bonus will be paid. It is Provided at the time of Maturity or Death.

Additional Information

  • Loan Facility: The Life Assured can avail the Loan Facility under this Plan.
  • Risk Coverage: This option is available until the end of the Policy Term.
  • Riders: The LIC Money Back Plan 20 years has rider option facility.
  • Cooling off period: The Policy can be returned within 15 days if the Life Insured is not satisfied with the Terms and Conditions of the policy.
  • Suicide Clause: If the Life Assured commits suicide within 12 months, 80% of the premium paid will be returned.

Logging into an LIC Portal for new User with Policy Number and Generating IT Statement for Tax Returns

This Post is to guide how you can create an user and login to LIC Portal.

1. Go to the Below Link





2.  Click on 'New User' Button



3. Fill the details

  • Policy Number : Give Your policy Number
  • Installment Premium without taxes: You want to check your bond where you will be having your actual premium without tax that you should be giving here.
  • Date Of Birth : Date of Birth should be as same as you have given While creating your policy, this will also be mentioned in your bond.
  • Mobile : Provide your Mobile Number
  • E-Mail : Provide the email ID which you will be using, it will ask for the verification once you have logged in.
  • Aadhaar Number : For Old Policy Aadhaar Number should be linked. But for New it will be linked automatically. And this field is not mandatory, but if you provide that details it will be good.
  • PAN: Provide the pan number so that this will automatically register in your income tax filing.  This field is not mandatory, but if you provide that details it will be good. 
  • Passport Number : You can provide the your Passport Number, this Filed is not Mandatory.
  • Gender :  Provide your Gender.
  • Click on the Check box and click on Proceed. 




4. Once you proceed, if all the details are matched it will takes you to Set Your Password Page, where you should provide your Password which matches below guidelines.

  • Password should be minimum of 6 characters and maximum of 16 characters.
  • must have at least one uppercase, one lowercase, one numeric and one special character.
  • Special Characters allowed !, @, #, $, %, &, *, (, ), _
  • Password should not contain your first name.
  • Password should not start with a special Character.

Example of Password which looks like : Welcome@1, ComeHome$@123,p@$$w0Rd&1 like this combination of Uppercase, Lowercase, numeric and special character



5. Once you Provide the password and Click on Submit it will redirect to Customer Login page. if you want to login second time You can use Below link.


6 . In the Login page Provide the Email ID or Mobile number which you would have provided while registering above. And password which you would have given, Date of birth should be same as you have mentioned in policy and while registering.  Than Click on Sign In.


7.  Once you Sign In you will be taken to main page where you can add your children and spouse Policy. Later you can make it like an single interface for all your transactions and IST statement downloads.



Get an IT Statement for tax filing

Most of us use LIC Online to get IT statement, So next steps are

8. Click on Self Policy or which policy IT Statement you required.

9. It will takes you to the main Page where it will shows your Policy Number, Premium Amount without Service tax and Due date.


10. Click on Policy Premium Paid Statement 
If you have multiple Policy it will shows their, you can select the Financial Year and check the Policy Number which you required an IT statement and click on Generate Statement.




11. Once you completed your work you can click on right top corner where your name will be mentioned and you can logout of this portal.

Here we are presenting the essential benefits of endowment (New LIC Plan 838). Let’s have a look at the benefits offered by the LIC endowment plan in the following section.


Death Benefit: On decease of the Insured during the policy term, a Death Benefit which is Sum Assured on Death + Final Additional Bonus + Vested Simple Reversionary Bonuses, if any, shall be payable to the beneficiary.

  • The Sum assured on death automatically rises every five years. Where “Sum Assured on Death” is defined as the higher of the following.

  1. 10 times of annualized premium.
  2. Absolute amount assured to be paid on death, which is as follows.

  • During the first five policy year: 100% of the Basic Sum Assured.
  • During 6th to 10th policy year: 125% of the Basic Sum Assured.
  • During 11th to 15th policy year: 150% of the Basic Sum Assured.

Free Look Period: If the policyholder is not satisfied with the “Terms  Conditions” of the LIC Jeevan Pragati plan, she/he may return the insurance policy to the Corporation within 15 days from the date of receipt of the policy.

Maturity Benefit: If life insured survives till the end of the policy term, “Sum Assured on Maturity” which is equal to the Basic Sum Assured + Simple vested Simple Reversionary Bonuses + Final Additional bonus will be Payable as Maturity Benefit.

Participation in Profits: By taking this Policy, the Life assured will receive Share in Profits of the Corporation as Simple Reversionary Bonuses declared as per the experience of the Corporation.

Policy Revival: LIC’s Jeevan Pragati Plan can be revived before two years from the date of First Unpaid Premium (FUP).

Grace Period: A grace period not less than 30 days will be allowed for payment of yearly, half-yearly or quarterly premiums and 15 days for the monthly mode of premium payment.

Loan:  Loan facility is available under this plan after the Successful Payment of Premiums for at least Three Years.

Additional Information 

Surrender Value:
          LIC Jeevan Pragati Policy can be Surrendered at any time during the Policy Term after Successful Payment of Premium for Three Successful years. The Policyholder will receive Guaranteed Surrender Value and Special Surrender Value on Surrendering of the Policy.

Guaranteed Surrender Value:
           The Guaranteed Surrender Value, which is equal to the total premiums paid along with the Surrender Value of Simple Reversionary Bonuses, which is equal to Vested Bonuses multiplied by the Guaranteed Surrender Value factor applicable to vested Bonuses, will be Payable.

Special Surrender Value: The Special Surrender Value of Maturity Paid-up Sum Assured plus Vested Simple Reversionary Bonuses if any will be payable.

Paid-up Value: If the Policy Holder has paid Premiums for at least Two years or Three Full years depends on the Premium Paying Term and any Subsequent Premiums be not paid, all the Benefits under this policy will be ceased after Grace Period has completed.

Death Paid-up Sum Assured Value
 [Sum Assured on Death x (Number of premiums paid/Total Number of premiums payable under the Policy)].

Maturity Paid-up Sum Assured Value

Taxes: Taxes including Service Tax and any Other Taxes on premiums including extra premiums shall be Payable by the Policyholder as per the Tax Laws and the rate of Tax shall be as applicable from time to time.

Suicidal Exclusion:
            If the Life Assured commits suicide at any time within one year / 12 months from the date of commencement of risk, the Corporation will not entertain any Claim, but the Corporation will give you 80% of the Premiums paid excluding any taxes and Extra Premium paid.
If the Life Assured commits suicide at any time Within 12 Months from Date of Revival, the Corporation will pay 80% of the Premiums paid till the Date of Death.

LIC Jeevan Lakshya Plan 833


          This is a non-linked plan which offers Annual Income benefit which helps to fulfill the needs of a family in case of sudden death of Policy holder before maturity and a lump sum amount at Maturity regardless of the life of Policy holder.In case of death before Maturity, the Death benefit is payable, which is defined as the addition of Sum Assured on Death along with Simple Reversionary Bonuses and Final Additional Bonus. The Sum Assured on Death is equal to Annual Income Benefit (10% of Basic Sum Assured) which will be paid from the year of death of policy holder until year of Maturity and the Assured Absolute Amount which is paid on date of maturity and is 110% of Basic Sum Assured along with Simple Reversionary Bonus and Final Additional bonus. The Death benefit will not be less than 105% of all the premiums paid till date of death which exclude tax, extra premium and rider premiums.

          The entry age is 18-50 years while the maximum maturity age is 65 years. The policy term ranges between 13-25 years. The premium term is (policy term-3) years. Minimum Sum Assured is 1 Lakh Rupees. Sum assured on Maturity will be paid along with Simple reversionary bonuses and final additional bonus as a lump sum on the condition that no premiums are due. Optional benefits include LIC Accidental Death and Disability Benefit Rider and LIC New Term Assurance Rider.

          LIC Jeevan Lakshya Plan (Table No. 833) was introduced by the Life Insurance Corporation on 12th March 2015, as per the new IRDA guidelines. Jeevan Lakshya Plan was a limited premium paying standard With-Profits Endowment Assurance plan. In this LIC Plan No. 833, the premium paying term is less than the policy term by three years. The Jeevan Lakshya Policy provides Annual Income Benefit to fulfill the needs of the family members mainly for the benefit of children, in the case of inappropriate demise of the insured during the policy term.

          LIC Jeevan Lakshya Policy is a participating Non-linked policy that provides dual benefits of Investment and life cover. It also provides a lump sum amount at the time of maturity regardless of survival of the insured. The unique identification number (UIN) for this plan is 512N297V01. This UIN should be used in all relevant documents provided to the policyholders.

Benefits 

Death Benefit: On the death of the insured during the policy term, Death Benefit = “Sum Assured on Death” + vested Simple Reversionary Bonuses + Final Additional Bonus (FAB), if any.

Where ‘Sum Assured on Death’ = Annual Income Benefit + Assured Absolute Amount

Annual Income Benefit = 10% of the Basic SA, which shall be payable from the policy anniversary coinciding with or following the date of death of Life Assured, till the policy anniversary before the maturity date.
Assured Absolute Amount = 110% of Basic SA, which shall be payable on the due date of maturity.

          The vested Simple Reversionary Bonuses and FAB, if any, included in the Death Benefit,  shall be payable on the due date of maturity. The Death Benefit shall not be less than 105% of all the premiums paid as on date of mortality.

Maturity Benefit: On Survival of the insured till the end of the policy term,

          Maturity Benefits Payable = Sum Assured on Maturity + Vested Simple Revisionary bonuses + Final Additional bonus.

Sum Assured on Maturity is the Basic Sum Assured.

Grace Period: A Grace Period of not less than 30 days will be allowed for the payment of rider premium in yearly, half-yearly or quarterly modes. For monthly rider premiums, the grace period is within 15 days.

Cooling-off Period/ Free Look Period: If the Policyholder was not satisfied with the Terms and Conditions, he/ she might return the policy to the corporation within 15 days. The count should be from the date of receipt of the plan.

Optional Benefits

          LIC provides Term Assurance Riders for life cover in case of inappropriate demise of the policyholder during the cover period. These are the optional benefits offered which can be added to savings plans, and the insured can enjoy the benefits of both protection and savings. There are two optional riders available under this LIC Jeevan Lakshya Plan. They are  
  • LIC’s Accidental Death & Disability Benefit Rider.
  • LIC’s New Term Assurance Rider.

          LIC’s Accidental Death and Disability Benefit Rider (AD & DB) is an optional rider that can opt for at any time within the premium paying term. The UIN for this rider is 512B209V01. The benefits covered under this rider shall be available during the policy term. The premium shall be paid during the premium paying term of the Basic plan.

  •           If this benefit is opted for on death due to an accident, an additional amount equal to the Accident Benefit Sum assured will be payable provided that the rider is inforce at the time of the accident.
  •           In the case of Accidental permanent disability, the amount equal to Accident Benefit Sum Assured shall be paid in equal monthly installments spread over ten years and all Future premiums which are equal to Accident Benefit Sum Assured will be waived off.

Additional Information 

Loan Facility: Loan facility is available under this policy after payment of premiums for at least three years. The maximum loan issued will be the percentage of surrender value. However, the percentages will vary from time to time. The rate of interest for the loan amount would be determined by the corporation.


  • For Inforce policies: 90%.
  • For paid-up policies: 80%.
Paid-up Value:  If the insured stops paying the premium, After three years policy will acquire some value and it will be canceled.

Surrender Value: If the premiums have been paid at least three full years, the policy can be surrendered at any time during the policy term.
  • Guaranteed Surrendered Value: Some % of ( Total premiums paid (net of taxes) – any extra premiums – premiums for riders). + surrender value of Bonus.This percentage will depend on the term of the policy and the year we want to surrender the policy.
  • Special Surrendered Value: LIC will pay Special Surrender Value if Guaranteed Surrender Value is less than Special Surrender value.

Policy Revival: If the policy lapsed, it might be revived within a period of two successive years. The renewal of riders will only be considered along with the revival of the Basic policy.

Back-Dating Interest: The policies can be dated back to the same financial year. The period upto 14 days is to be ignored and 15 days or more is to be rounded to a month for this calculation.

Proposal Forms: Proposal Form no. 300 issued by the U&R Department as applicable should be used for this LIC Jeevan Lakshya plan.

Policy Stamping: 20 paise per thousand of Sum assured will be the Charges for policy stamping under this plan.

Assignments/ Nominations: Assignments or Nominations for Plan 833 should be made at the proposal stage as per Section 39 of Insurance Act, 1938.

Suicide Clause: The Policy will become void if the life assured commits suicide within 12 months from the date of commencement of risk or the date of revival. An amount equal to 80% of single premium shall be paid excluding any taxes and extra premium.
